Cheryl, now 26, was born and raised Salt Lake City, UT. After receiving her bachelor's degree in sociology at Brigham Young University, she enrolled at Boston College where she got her Master's degree in sociology. Her experiences there led her to an excellent PhD program at Brandeis University under the tutelage of Peter Conrad, one of the foremost experts in the field of medical sociology

Cheryl loves Boston and the rich history and culture found here, but after these five years (and five bitter winters) she is ready for something new and is looking forward to starting her life with William (and with warm weather) in California's Bay Area.

Luckily, Cheryl has completed her necessary coursework for her PhD so she will be able to continue the research towards her dissertation on medical risk and uncertainty remotely in California.

William, now 29 was born in Provo, UT, but has since lived in many different places including Texas, Indiana, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, California, New York, and Massachusetts. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ at age 19 in Tokyo, Japan. After his mission he received his bachelors in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon, which landed him a job at Silicon Valley's Oracle Corporation as a software engineer. After three years there, he enrolled in the MBA program at Harvard Business School in Boston where he met Cheryl.

After graduation and the honeymoon, William and Cheryl will head out to Silicon Valley where William will start work at Google as a Technical Program manager in the Partner Solutions Organization.
